The Dharmasthala Scholarship, also commonly known as SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujnananidhi Scholarship, is an initiative introduced by the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Karnataka to support the education of students pursuing technical and professional courses of duration between 2 to 5 years in the states of karnataka and kerala.

The Dharmasthala Scholarship offers a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 400 to Rs. 1000, depending on the course or degree pursuing by the student and approved by the college or institute. Till this academic year, over 72 thousand students pursuing technical and professional courses in the Karnataka state have been benefited from this initiative, with scholarships amounting to over Rs. 87 crores disbursed.

Dharmasthala Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Students who are willing to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship or Dharmasthala Scholarship must meet the following eligibility criteria compulsorily.

• The student’s parent must be a member of an Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) sponsored SHG (Self-Help Group) / PBG (Pragathi Bandhu Group).
• The student should have passed the 10th/12th standard examinations with good academic performance.
• Applicants must be studying technical and job-oriented courses specified in the Information Letter (ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪತ್ರ) to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship.
• The student must belong to the economically weaker section of society.
• Additionally, the student should be an Indian citizen residing in Karnataka or Kerala State.

Dharmasthala Scholarship 2024 Important Instructions

Please refer to and understand the following SKDRDP Scholarship or Dharmasthala Scholarship instructions before applying for the Dharmasthala Scholarship.

• Only one student from a family members is allowed to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship or Dharmasthala Scholarship.
• Children of members of non-sub-standard societies in S, A+, A, and B categories, started before 30.06.2022, with an ongoing progress fund, can apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship.
• first semester students enrolled in college after 01.04.2023 are only eligible to submit the fresh application for SKDRDP Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24.
• The student must have a savings account in a bank with an IFSC CODE, and the passbook should reflect transactions for the last three months.
• Direct application for the 2nd year is not permitted for SKDRDP Scholarship or Dharmasthala Scholarship (Which means lateral entry students are not eligible for this scholarship).

Dharmasthala Scholarship 2024 Amount

The Dharmasthala Scholarship or SKDRDP Scholarship amount, ranging from Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 10,000 per annum, will be provided for selected professional and technical education courses of duration 2 to 5 years for students who meet the eligibility criteria as discussed above.

Dharmasthala Scholarship Eligible Courses

The students who are pursuing any of the below-mentioned courses and meet all the eligibility criteria as discussed above are eligible to apply for the SKDRDP Scholarship or Dharmasthala Scholarship for the academic year 2023-24.

Note : Lateral entry students in any course or degree who have directly entered to the 2nd year are NOT eligible to submit the application for the Dharmasthala Scholarship or SKDRDP Scholarship.

3. Marks Cards of the Previous Year qualifying for the current academic year
4. Student’s Bank Passbook
5. Student’s Aadhar Card
6. Parent’s Aadhar Card (member of the association or ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯ)
7. Family Ration Card
8. College Confirmation Letter
9. Parent’s Declaration Letter (member of the association or ಸಂಘದ ಸದಸ್ಯ)

(For Renewal Application)

Documents required to renew the application of SKDRDP Scholarship or Dharmasthala Scholarship remains same as the Fresh Application, except SSLC Marks Card and Bank Passbook, as these details are already available with SKDRDP when you submitted the fresh application in the previous academic years.

How to Apply for the Dharmasthala Scholarship 2024 @skdrdpindia.org

You can apply for the Dharmasthala Scholarship or SKDRDP Scholarship at any SKDRDP Common Service Centers (CSC) which are near to you. Self-application facility is not available for the SKDRDP scholarship for the academic year 2024. ( This means you cannot submit the application for the SKDRDP Scholarship online on your own. The service to apply online for the SKDRDP Scholarship has been discontinued for the academic year 2023-24, as per the information mentioned on the SKDRDP or Sujnananidhi Scholarship Official web portal ).

Application Last date for Dharmasthala Scholarship 2024

The last date to submit the online application for the Dharmasthala Scholarship (SKDRDP Scholarship) through SKDRDP Common Service Centers (CSC) is extended till 29th February 2024.
