About Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA)

The Karnataka Examination Authority, popularly known as KEA, is headed by the Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Government of Karnataka. The KEA Board is responsible for conducting various entrance tests, including KCET, DCET, PGCET, etc. KEA is also responsible for conducting various government recruitment exams in the Karnataka state.

About Common Entrance Test 

The Karnataka government established the Common Entrance Test Cell in 1994 to administer entrance exams like KCET, DCET, PGCET etc.. and determine eligibility and merit for admission to various full-time professional courses. These courses include Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine, Homeopathy, Engineering, Architecture, and Farm Science such as B.Sc. (Agriculture), B.Sc. (Sericulture), B.Sc. (Horticulture), B.Sc. (Forestry), B.Sc. Agri Bio Tech, BHSc. (Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.FSc. (Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science & Tech), B.Sc. (Agri.Marketing & Co-Op), B.Pharm, and Pharma-D courses.
