Prize Money Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Prize Money Scholarship, a student must satisfy the following requirements:
- The applicant must be from the SC/ST category.
- The applicant must have completed their diploma or degree from any private or government institution within Karnataka.
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
- The applicant must have passed all subjects in all semesters on the first attempt.
- The applicant must have achieved a first-class division in their diploma or degree.

NOTE :
The Social Welfare or Tribal Welfare Department will NOT accept result sheets for the Prize Money Scholarship. Provisional marks cards can be submitted only if the original marks cards have not yet been issued by your concerned university. Otherwise, it is mandatory to submit the attested copies of the original marks cards only.!!
How to apply for the Prize Money Scholarship 2024
Follow the steps below to apply for the Prize Money Scholarship online:
STEP 1: Visit the official website of the Social Welfare Department (for SC students) or the Tribal Welfare Department (for ST students) using the links provided BELOW.
STEP 2 (SSLC Details): Enter your SSLC register number, SSLC passing year, select your caste, enter the name as per your Aadhaar card, and click ‘SUBMIT’.
STEP 3 (Aadhaar Authentication): After clicking ‘SUBMIT’, a new window for Aadhaar authentication will open. Enter your name (as per Aadhaar), Aadhaar number, tick the declaration box, and submit the form.
STEP 4 (Online Form Filling): Following Aadhaar authentication, the online application form for the Prize Money Scholarship will appear. Carefully fill in all the requested details, including:
- PART 1: Personal Details
- PART 2: College and Course Details
- PART 3: Bank Details
STEP 5 (Upload Documents): Upload your photo, caste certificate, and the last semester mark sheet. Tick the declaration box and click ‘SUBMIT’. (Note that the uploaded photo and documents should be less than 100KB).
STEP 6 (Download Acknowledgment): After submission, an acknowledgment will appear for download or print. If it does not appear or is lost, you can reprint it using the registration number received on your phone via the provided links BELOW.
STEP 7 (Attestation): Print the acknowledgment and get it signed by your college principal. Also, photocopy all the required documents and get them attested by your college faculty.
STEP 8 (Final & Important): Submit the hard copies of the documents to the District Social Welfare Office (for SC students) or the Tribal Welfare Office (for ST students) for verification.
ATTENTION!!! : Your application will be rejected if you do not submit the hard copies to the concerned district welfare office.
