The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation has started receiving BMTC Student Pass 2024-25 applications from students studying in the Bangalore region of Karnataka state from June 1st, 2024, through online portal. Students are required to submit their applications online via the Seva Sindhu portal, following the instructions provided by the BMTC, to obtain a new or renewal student bus pass for the academic year 2024-25.

Documents Required For BMTC Student Pass 2024-25

The following documents are required to apply for a BMTC Student Pass online through the Seva Sindhu Portal for the academic year 2024-25:

  1. Fee Receipt issued by your college/institute for the present academic year.
  2. Student Photo (to be uploaded in the online application via the Seva Sindhu Portal).
  3. Caste Certificate RD.No (mandatory for SC/ST students to claim fee concession).
  4. Student Aadhaar Card Number.
  5. Student Family Ration Card Number (optional).
  6. Student Email ID (optional).
  7. Student Mobile Number.

How To Create Account In Seva Sindhu To Apply For BMTC Student Pass 2024-25

  • Step 1: To create a user account in Seva Sindhu, first visit and click on “New User? Register here“.
  • Step 2: Now, enter your Aadhaar Number, fill out the captcha, and click on the “Next” button.
  • Step 3: Enter the OTP that you have received on your mobile number linked with your Aadhaar and allow the permissions requested by the Seva Sindhu portal.
  • Step 4: In the next page, enter your email ID, mobile number, and create a new password, then click the “Submit” button.
  • Step 5: Once again, enter the OTP received on your mobile number and click the “Submit” button.

How To Apply For BMTC Student Pass 2024-25

Here’s the step-by-step process to apply for the BMTC Student Pass 2024-25 online through the Seva Sindhu portal:

STEP 1: Visit and log in with your user account.

STEP 2: Under the “Apply for services” menu, select “View all available services” and type “BMTC STUDENT PASS 2024-25” in the search bar. Then, select the application link displayed in the table and proceed to apply.


STEP 3 (Citizenship): Select citizenship as “INDIAN CITIZENSHIP”, enter your Aadhaar number, click on the Aadhaar authentication button, enter the OTP received on your mobile number, and click “VALIDATE”.

STEP 4 (Applicant Details): Again click the Aadhaar authentication button to fetch details from your Aadhaar and enter other personal details like caste, mother’s name, mobile number, and email manually.

STEP 5 (Communication Address Details): If your present communication address is the same as the permanent address, select “Yes”; otherwise, select “No” and enter the address manually.

STEP 6 (Course Category): Select the Course Category from the dropdown list.

STEP 7 (Institution Details): Enter your roll or register number, name, then enter or select your college/school name and address. High school & primary school students need to enter their SATS ID to fetch school details.

STEP 8 (Travel Route Details): Select “FROM STOP” & “TO STOP” from the dropdown list. “FROM STOP” should be your home or hostel near a BMTC bus stop, and “TO STOP” should be your college nearby a BMTC bus stop.

STEP 9 (Declaration): Tick the declaration checkbox, enter the captcha, and submit the application for the BMTC Student Pass 2024-25.

STEP 10 (Preview & Attach Documents): Preview your application for any corrections, scan and upload your fee receipt and photo, then click the submit button.


How To Collect BMTC Student Pass 2024-25

After submitting the online application for the BMTC Student Pass 2024-25, BMTC will either approve or reject your application and inform you through an SMS message. If rejected, please resubmit the application with proper details and documents. If approved, visit your nearest Bangalore One center (B-1 COUNTER) to pay the fee amount and collect your BMTC Student Pass Smart Card.
